Project Overview

Outright Surveying completed a detailed Feature and Level Survey for a rural development site in Port Campbell, supporting the early planning and design stages of the proposed development.

Servicing Port Campbell, Warrnambool and the wider South West Victoria region, our team provides comprehensive feature, level and cadastral surveying services for rural, residential and commercial development projects.

The survey captured the existing site conditions and provided the accurate spatial information required by the project team to progress planning and design.

Site Challenges

Rural feature surveys can present a different set of challenges to conventional urban sites. This property included areas of dense vegetation, established structures and varied natural features that needed to be accurately captured while maintaining efficient coverage across the site.

Working in rural and vegetated environments also requires careful field planning and awareness of the surrounding environment, including the potential for interaction with native flora and fauna.

Existing improvements, access constraints and changing terrain were considered when establishing survey control and completing the detailed site pickup.

Our Approach

Our survey team established site control before completing a comprehensive Feature and Level Survey of the property, capturing the existing terrain, structures, vegetation and other features relevant to the proposed development.

The resulting survey provides designers, engineers and other consultants with an accurate representation of existing site conditions to support informed planning and design decisions.

Where required, Outright can also undertake the cadastral components of a development, including boundary identification, title re-establishment and subdivision.

By combining cadastral, feature and construction surveying capabilities, we can remain involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from the initial site survey and development planning through design, approvals and ultimately construction setout.
